Courage

If you are currently in a dispute with Angie, please know your pain and frustrations are valid.

I believe you.

You are not the "villain" that she's making you out to be.

Be strong.

Be courageous.

Stay honest and truthful.

Above all, screenshot everything!

If you are expecting a refund or missing items, it's best to resign yourself to the fact you may never receive them. Five years later and I still never received my full order from Angie, nor do I ever expect to. It is also wise to receive her sob stories with extreme caution, she will say absolutely anything to get her own way. She is the most morally corrupt person who I have ever had the misfortune to cross my path. Everything out of her mouth is a lie. I honestly don't know how she lives with herself but they're her life choices. We all have free will. It would just be nice if some of us used our energy for good and not pure evil.

A small collection of Angie's trail of destruction until I got tired of all the negativity...

Trading Post Complaint:

Arena thread: Here (missing items and now claims to be a NYC Police Sargent battling cancer)

Arena Thread: Here (reported as a non-paying buyer)

Arena Thread: Here (mis-represented items and seriously delayed a refund)

When I saw this posted on Facebook, I thought of my situation with Angie. It came to my attention that she had been talking smack about me in a large private Facebook group that I couldn't access. Therefore I couldn't defend myself.

I did predict this character assassination so I instinctively told my version of events on the Arena (which is publicly accessible to read without an account... unlike the private Facebook group). At one point in an Arena post I mentioned how I was (understandably) stressed by this situation. My "health" is something Angie referred to in her Paypal rebuttal so she demonstrated evidence of reading what I had written. She had an unfair advantage over me.

For me, it's probably for the best that I couldn't see what horrible things people were saying about me in the Facebook group... but I would have appreciated the opportunity to decide that for myself. I was unfairly not given that choice in this ridiculous melodrama.

I was told that Angie has an Arena account but "apparently" she forgot her password, conveniently was unable to use "Forgot My Password" and just needs to email a Moderator to unlock her account. She would then be able to comment on my posts and tell her side of the story - in addition to having an entire private Facebook group at her disposal. Bring it on.

However not once did she re-activate her account and make a single comment. She's not a timid flower, as indicated by literally everything she has written. She doesn't back down from a fight, in fact she escalates fights to completely un-uncessary galactic proportions. I can only put her un-characteristic silence down to a guilty conscience.

I'll try not to let it effect the passion for my hobby but only time will tell.

If you tell someone not to contact you, don't act surprised when they don't contact you.

Re: The negative feedback I left for Angie. I felt no joy doing so but it was warranted and hard earned. In my over 20 years on eBay I have rarely ever felt the need to resort to the dreaded red negative feedback. But this... there was no coming back from this. Angie's side of this situation just snowballed out of control at a faster-than-light pace. The sheer amount of lies that came out of her mouth and the pace with which she shot them was frankly over-whelming for me to keep up with.

eBay's Feedback System has a character limit and - obviously - this situation is far too complicated to explain in 80 characters. As a rule of thumb, I've found this character limit often drives people to be as caustic and mean-spirited as they can within those perimeters. That's not me. I'm not that kind of person. I decided to do the mature thing and make a general allusion to a mysterious "problem" with the transaction. There's nothing specific. No name-calling. Nothing below the belt. You know, the exact opposite to Angie. There's absolutely no way in hell she could not have seen this coming.

Although blacked out in the image above (because I was logged into my account), user names aren't actually visible to people outside the transaction. It appears Angie was under the impression everyone could see my user name and then - based on her word alone - everyone would ostracize me from buying anything from them ever again. Wow. Just wow.

Then there she goes with the lies again... I'll own that my initial message was rude and I feel awful about the way I came across. If I could re-word it in a kinder and more empathic way, I would do so in a heartbeat. It was not my finest hour and full disclosure, if you've followed me on social media for the past 20-25 years, you'd know it's extremely rare for me to ever write a rude message. "Demanding"? Well... I asked ONCE for what I paid for. Wouldn't you want what you paid for? "Abusive" though? This is where Angie reverts to her tired 'damsel in distress' trope. It must have served her well in life because it's her fall-back knee-jerk reaction to the suggestion of having any kind of responsibility for the consequences of her actions.

Once again, for the people in the back, there was no abuse. I specifically asked eBay to investigate me because I was so upset at the idea that I had been abusive to another person. eBay found no form of abuse whatsoever. With her it's lie after lie after lie. It's an exhausting roller-coaster through Hell.
