I Won.

I called Paypal and explained the situation. They put me through to the Fraud Department where they investigated and sided in my favor.

I personally wish I could have seen all her made-up "evidence" but Paypal takes fraud very seriously and escalated the case to a claim without my permission. They basically took the claim over themselves and it was the Fraud Department who refunded me personally, not Angie herself.

Unlike Angie, I'm not going to tell you to avoid buying or selling with her. I'm not going to treat you like a child and tell you what to think and feel. Read everything and make your own decisions and judgements. I think you'll be fine overall in transactions with her, but if anything goes wrong, you are probably screwed. She has demonstrated to me that she will do anything to win, and I can't see why it would be any different with someone else. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

MLP Arena thread here.

Seller's eBay username: eaglesfan73

Seller's etsy username: angiesawyer4 (no longer registered)
F is for Fraud...

Please note: I have replaced my name with black rectangles and below will use the word BUYER (in all caps) instead of my name.

BUYER is a liar! He blocked ME on ebay!

A: I'm not a liar. I have given clear evidence for everything I claimed, unlike you.

B: In arguments, people generally start out with the thing that upsets them the most. I had a small chuckle when I saw "ME" in all caps, like "the audacity of him to block MEEEEEEEEE!" kinda attitude.

Yes. I blocked you. I told everybody I would block you and I did. I can block you if I want to. I don't need any special permissions. You don't want to hear from me and I can't imagine you want any more transactions with me anyway, so I don't understand the problem here apart from your bruised ego.

BUYER claimed health issues, that's why he blocked me.

I don't need an excuse to block you. That's not how it works.

I am under no obligation to experience continued abuse from you.

BUYER was abusive and hostile in the first email.

No, I wasn't.

eBay reassured me that I wasn't - and if I was - I would have lost my account.

You didn't like what you heard so you regressed and projected onto me. Besides, if "abuse" and "hostility" is grounds for losing this battle... all your emails fit the bill, whereas only one of mine hypothetically does. I win your Victim Olympics by your own implied standards.

I have pictures of all the items that were sent to him.

You'd better not be implying that I received the correct items because you, me, the MLP Arena and the MLP Collectors Facebook Group all know otherwise.

BUYER also admitted he was wrong, I have it saved.

Nope. Never happened. Does not exist.

You're flat out lying to me and to Paypal now.

I'm not a gloating James Bond villain, or a mustache twirling cartoon baddie, who reveals their evil master plan to the poor heroine tied-up to train tracks. Think about it for just one second, what would I have to gain from doing that? Not only is it untrue, it makes zero sense. You are my arch-nemesis and that would be literally giving you my kryptonite. It would mean various members of the Arena are in cahoots with me to make you look bad and we all made up this story to hurt you for... ummm... some mysterious reason. Your delusions of grandeur are truly astronomical.

You saying that I wrote you some sort of confession means you have impersonated me and forged evidence. You are an unscrupulous individual who wants to win at any cost whatsoever.

BUYER wants something for nothing PAYPAL, if you need photos or other documentation please let me know.

No, I don't want something for nothing. I want this issue judged once and for all by an impartial party.

But I would really love to see all these "messages" you've fabricated in Windows Paint or whatever.

You must know on some level that Paypal and eBay won't be able to verify your forged "evidence" if you submit them. Kudos for chutzpah, but this is just a little eBay transaction. If you are willing to forge documents and impersonate someone over an $8.00 My Little Pony, you will end up with a criminal record if you keep this tactic up in life.

BUYER is also angry that we call him out in our new listing as we need to explain the negative feedback.

Face it, it's not "calling out". It's a passive aggressive and childish public dig at a customer who left you a bad feedback after receiving terrible service. You know there were other ways you could have done it rather than falsely calling someone an "abusive nut".

But since you're so "calling out" behavior positive, I decided to call you out on your fraud shenanigans. Fun, hey?

BUYER received all items that were listed, his case is fabricated.

Bravo!

Bravo!

Brilliant acting there!

Hello, Paypal!

So I'm still being painted as "the bad guy" to everyone while she remains the "damsel in distress" no matter what reputation and business destroying personal attacks she launches... all without a single shred of evidence.

I want a higher power to decide. I want Paypal to look at all the evidence and decide once and for all who was right and wrong in this situation. So I opened a Paypal case and wrote this:

I'm not doing it for the small amount of money I could receive as a refund. I'm doing it to resolve this ridiculous three month dispute once and for all. She is absolutely impossible to deal with. I can't communicate with someone when we have no shared perception of reality. I can't work with someone who tries to manipulate and control the situation by using extreme emotional reactions for dramatic effect. Her volumes of lies have made everything so convoluted and daytime soap opera-esque that without external intervention, there will be no closure. No resolution. This situation unequivocally requires the outside authority of Paypal to adjudicate over this wet hot mess.

My Ears are Burning...

So I'm still browsing eBay auctions for ponies, one catches my eye. I even added it to my watch list. Later when going through said watch list, I notice it's from Angie and she's taken something positive away from this. If this personal sales policy was written at the time of our transaction, it would have changed some things.

A week or so later I noticed she updated her policy. Fair enough, a little high maintenance but good for you!

But I'm going to leave a negative because I still don't have the items I paid for or a refund for the missing items.

She responds within 24 hours with the usual unsubstantiated allegations. Of course, forgetting that other buyers and/or sellers can't see my username while paradoxically calling for a boycott.

I never wrote any personal attacks, but she gets personal.

And then just downright name-calling.

I'm an "abusive nut". Lady, you need to look at yourself in the mirror.

Your feedback will be "corrected" like receiving a negative was a mistake?

No. I don't believe you.

And several months later the feedback is still there.

So either you are lying or an eBay customer service officer lied to you, and I strongly doubt the latter because the feedback I left for you does not meet the eBay "feedback removal requirements".

And later this:

I never told you how things are "going to go".

I offered to pay whenever you wanted.

Your imagination is fantastic!
Adventures with Angie #5

Barely moments later I receive this...

You need help!

I don't have to experience your abuse if I don't want to.

Leave me alone!!!!!

Oh-kay.

That's not the punishment you think it is.

Buh-bye.
A word in edgewise...

I finally was able to respond to her and sent this:

This situation cannot be fixed. She has put me in a position where there is nothing I can do or say to make anything better. “The next contact will go to eBay” threats… that just stonewalls communication. I can get banned for contacting another member who has told me not to contact them anymore. So it’s over. The bridge has burned to the ground. There’s no happy ending.

I could have just left negative feedback and written the whole thing off, but I wanted to work things out with my seller. I wanted us to have a mutually satisfactory conclusion. But regardless of my attitude she chose not to believe me. I could have been as sweet as honey and I don’t think the outcome would have changed very much and it would be unethical if it did.

Also the seller is responsible for her own words and actions. I refuse to be blamed for the bad choices she makes. I will not be held accountable for the actions of a stranger. She chose how she acted. She typed those words on her own keyboard or smart phone. She made those decisions. Not me.

All this over an $8 pony with accessories. It’s ridiculous!

Adventures with Angie #4

Yet another rapid fire message within a short space of time. This oficially meets the definition of “harassment”.

You paid $16 in shipping. Im not dealing with this scam.

It’s not a scam, stop saying “scam” without any evidence. If you keep saying the same lie, it doesn't suddenly become the truth. Since you’re not giving me a chance to speak, I’m beginning to think you don’t want to sort this out with me.

Do what you want.

Thank you for the permission to leave you negative feedback. You have definitely earned it.

You get THREE DOLLARS back.

I don’t want any money back, which is good because you didn’t give me any. Why say stuff like this if you’re never going to follow through with it anyway?

I sent correct accessories I checked.

No, you didn’t send correct accessories. I honestly don't believe you when you say that you checked, because you obviously didn't.

Just because they’re not at your place doesn’t mean they didn’t get mixed up in another persons lot - which is what happened in this case.

Next contact you make goes to Ebay.

Well this really doesn’t leave us any room to resolve the problem anymore.

They are involved now.

You just said “next contact…” but now eBay is already involved?

How did things escalate from one sentence to the next without any interaction from me?

In what situation does this kind of conflict resolution or mediation actually work?

Adventures with Angie #3

Moments later, yet another message arrives…

You are one of those who switches out stuff trying to scam people.

Based on what information?

You are making a very wild assumption without any evidence.

Most people wait until they actually have evidence before going both guns blazing. Also how do you think it’s going to make me feel to receive all these rapid fire emails one after? Because that meets the definition of “harassment”.

I have a goid reputation try to tarnish it and it will be fixed.

Nice threat there! You gonna get a hitman to "fix" me or something?

With so much self-assurance it sounds like you have an insider at eBay who will un-ethically "fix" bad feedbacks for you. That sounds dodgy as hell, lady.

You got EXACTLY what was pictured.

How can you be so self assured about things you can’t possibly know. Were you with me when I opened the package? No. Are you insinuating you have hidden cameras set up inside my bedroom? That's just creepy to think about. Also it's weird to claim omniscience. Besides you admitted that I didn’t get what was pictured so why contradict yourself?

You paid $8 for the pony AND accessories so thats a good deal.

Yes, it was a good deal.

But it’s not my fault that nobody bid against me, what other people do is out of my control. I won the auction fair and square. I never complained about the price. Also just because I got it for a good deal doesn’t mean I should just “put up and shut up” with you sending the wrong items. That’s just a horrible approach to business and you wouldn’t stand for it if it happened to you.

Why bring this up at all?

Im not stupid and wont be taken advantage of.

I’m not calling you stupid or trying to take advantage of you. Can we maybe stick to the facts? You introduce a new idea and then become outraged at the new idea - then lash out at me as if I’m responsible for the idea.

Can you please stop outraging yourself?

You get refund in shipping thats it.

I never asked for or wanted a shipping refund. Besides you never gave one. Why lie?

I dont deal with attitude.

Ah yes, but you do dish out attitude in massive quantities.

Look you’ve made your point… I get it… you really really really hate me.

Weird.

Are you calling me weird? This isn’t grade school here. Besides even eccentric people have feelings that can be hurt. Or are you calling the situation weird? Well sending the wrong item really it isn’t outside the realm of possibility now, is it?

I don’t see how we can ever come back from this, just please stop harassing me!
Adventures with Angie #2

Moments later, another message arrives…

Fun Fact: Writing in CAPS means you're yelling.

I had TWO WANDS IN THE PLASTIC AND THE OTHER WAS BLUE. OMG YOU ARE A SCAMMER.

Once again you’re throwing around a very serious word with absolute certainty, except you have zero evidence and have left no exit for yourself. You could have said “I have a bad feeling about you as a buyer”, or “I’m concerned that you may have dishonest intentions”. Because when you are proven wrong - which did happen - you’re going to look like a bit of a ding-a-ling.

BEING REPORTED NOW!!

Well, if you want to get extreme without having all the facts, go ahead then. Courts of Law require evidence before convictions for a reason. However you seem pretty hellbent on being judge, jury and executioner here. Thankfully you’re not in any position of power because you would had an innocent person executed.

GET HELP!

You're not a psychologist.

Also presenting mental health problems an insult is pretty abelist of you.

I WILL EASILY HAVE EBAY ON MY SIDE WITH THIS.

How???

Now you're just smack talking!

I was under the impression that eBay was impartial in matters like this. Are you friends with someone who works for eBay that can pull strings for you? if so, that's hugely unethical.

Adventures with Angie #1

The seller got back to me shortly afterwards, which I really do appreciate the promptness when dealing with an issue… oh hang on...

First off lose the attitude.

Wait! Wait! What’s happening here?! What’s going on?! Am I dreaming?! No! No! You messed up and now you’re attacking me… this is definitely NOT the best way to start a conflict resolution process with me… how can you put so much attitude into those five words… don’t be your own worst enemy, lady… come on, cause and effect y'know...

I gave you the accessories that are pictured.
How can you be so sure of something like that? You weren’t standing over my shoulder when I opened up the package.

Y’see another buyer of yours tracked me down on the Arena. It turns out you had mixed up the accessories from our both orders. She had received my missing items, while I received hers. You even later apologized to that buyer and acknowledge on Facebook that you sent the wrong items.

But you haven’t apologized to me or even admitted it to me. I’m your trading partner, I’m the one person who you should be telling this information to!

It took you FOREVER to pay.

Forever, really?
I don’t think that word means what you think it does.
Look I offered immediate payment and left it on the table the entire time, all you just had to do was ask. I’m not responsible for your lack of communication or clear store policies. I also can’t read your mind, what is an acceptable time frame for one person may not be for another. I have one seller I buy vintage stickers from, and she leaves orders open for three weeks. It’s not fair to blame me for breaking a rule you never told me about.

You will get refund on shipping.
No, I won’t.

If I get more attitude Im reporting you and I will report any abuse.

I’m not responsible for the tone of voice you hear in your head when you read my words. I haven’t abused you, it’s like you’re using a buzzword and slinging it around without any understanding of the serious implications it has. eBay doesn’t have a department that measures detectable levels of attitude in emails and then discharges the “Attitude Police” to arrest people. eBay has more important things to do.

Besides, what do you think making these kinds of threats will accomplish?

I kept them in the bag together. If you are going to take forever to pay and the jump down my throat instead of being polite so we can work things out.

It wasn’t forever!
Extreme emotional reactions like this and speaking in infinates (”forever”) denotes regression. You’re regressing right now. You are psychologically projecting onto me. You can’t own the negative feelings you are experiencing so you are projecting them all on to me like I’m the Boogey Man.

Please just stick to the facts!

You arent above me so dont even think you are.

Where the hell did you get that idea?
I’m a sissy gay hispanic boy with anxiety and depression, I’m unemployed and not receiving government assistance and caring for my elderly parents. I’m so far below you on the food chain it’s not funny. It would be in your best interest to stop shooting off your mouth with definitives until you actually have a shred of evidence for any of your accusations.

Ive submitted these emails to Ebay customer service and am on the phone now because of your abusive nature.

You just said above “If I get more attitude I’m reporting you and I will report any abuse.“
But now we’ve fast forwarded directly to punishment without any new stimuli introduced.
You make threats and then immediately carry them out… what does that even accomplish? Threats are used to modify someone’s behavior. You don’t even give me a chance to modify my behavior. But fine, let eBay read my messages. I haven’t done anything wrong. I have nothing to hide.

I know My Little Pony been dealing with them for 20 years.

25 years, checkmate.

Im not going to be scammed into giving you accessories that werent pictured you got what was pictured. I will double check but if you step to me with this attitude again Ebay will take action.

I’m not scamming you.

What evidence do you actually have to bring you to THAT conclusion.

What?

I have almost two thousand more feedback than you, everything 100% positive. Doesn’t that seem like an experienced and seasoned member to you. You can’t just go around throwing the word scammer without any evidence. Besides, you didn’t give me the correct items anyway.

Especially when you buy time to pay. “Im bidding on another item of yours can I wait to pay” sure if the item ends in 4 days not SIX TO TEN. CHEERS!

I live internationally, postage is expensive and you can’t blame someone for wanting to combine on your items. I did bid on other auctions of yours, and I lost them all because congratulations - they all went for astronomical amounts! Maybe you should list everything on the same day so all auctions end on the same day, not list an item or two every day. When selling on eBay you need to consider these things in advance.

Also, you didn’t give me a time limit. Give me a time limit and I’ll stay within it obviously.
